“Wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2011

This B&B is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay in. Cozy and welcoming, both the house and the owner are charming. We only stayed for one night but wished we could be there for longer. It was beautiful and comfortable. Tip: make sure you take a walk to the Magnolia River in the morning.

I am so glad I discovered Magnolia Springs B & B in Magnolia Springs, AL ! The proprietor/owner, David Worthington, makes it a point to introduce you to the house, the history and recommendations for food, etc. The house itself is enchanting. A rare treasure.
It is full of ambiance and the patina of love that has gone into restoration. Some of the
fixtures are over a hundred years old. Turned down beds with chocolate. Yum! The breakfast is a 3 course deal. The real deal! Coffee and Tea mugs sit waiting plus a refrigerator full of beverages...all for us while we rocked on the front porch. A trip well worth taking!!

Room Tip: I think that any room that is available would be a great room!

My husband and I just recently returned for the second time, and this place just keeps getting better. The owners (David and Eric) are such a pleasure to be around, and make you feel so at home from start to finish. The occomodations are outstanding, and the food is matched by very few B&B's! I call this place "my Medicine," because it forces me to relax and enjoy!! The entire neighborhood is so nice--we had people stop on the road and even turn off their lawn mowers in the morning just to welcome us, and thank us for coming to their town!! It's crazy how comfortable it is! Thanks again for such a perfect vaca!!

Is it the canopy of Oaks which graciously greet you as you drive to the entrance?
Or is it the homemade cookies in the foyer? The healthy 3 course breakfast?
No, it's the passion that David and Eric have for their historic inn, serving their guests and supporting their community that makes Magnolia Springs B and B so special.

They guided us and supplied us with what we needed to go visit the undisturbed beaches of Bon Secour, local restaurant choices and best of all, reservations for flight on a 1928 biplane-Bird of Paradise.

We will be back and all of our friends will know about how magical Magnolia Springs Band B is.

Room Tip: Harding suite provides the most privacy

This past March my husband and myself visited Magnolia Springs, where my husband's grandfather had built a home along the springs in the early 1900's. Visiting a piece of his own past, Magnolia Springs did not disappoint. A throwback to a much more gentile time, the Magnolia Springs B & B fit the bill. If you want a place to just get away from it all, this is the place. The owners couldn't be more helpful. The three course breakfast they serve every morning is to die for. You won't need to eat until dinner, but if you do Jesse's, down the road is an excellent restaurant.

Magnolia Springs knows how to make you feel at home! The lovely restored home in this tiny southern town is a fabulous retreat. The attention to detail in the bead bord wood is astonishing. But then attention to detail is what they are about. Breakfast, prepared by friendly host Dave, is three courses, delicious AND healthy. Just down the street is an outstanding restaurant with bar and little general store--Jesse's.

Oak and magnolia shaded streets, river front homes, strolling and friendly folks complete the picture

Room Tip: first floor room has very high ceilings and an old fashioned claw foot tub

We arrived late only to have Eric wait for us until midnight and carry our bags in! Only the next morning, at a fabulous breakfast, did we see why! The wood floors were outstanding, shiny, and VERY well kept! Now, the wood floors are the only thing there, but when you appreciate good antiques and restorative efforts. . . it makes those floors something to behold! The antiques are gorgeous, property immaculate, and the breakfast. . . well, it tops the cake! Very quaint and worthy of the "Southern Living" Magazine recognition it has received to date!
