Steak out is a franchise, that, I believe started in Alabama, if not in Huntsville, probably 20 years ago. They deliver nearly all over, as there are 5 "stores" in Huntsville/Madison and Athens has 1 store, too. I believe they are closed on Sunday. Get your hands on an old fashioned phone book and you'll likely see a coupon or two for a free iced tea, or some other offer from Steak Out. It's somewhat pricey, but the food is delivered HOT, with all the condiments separated (i.e., if you get a hamburger, the onion is packed separate from the burger, as are the tomatoes and lettuce), so there is a real attention to detail. You can order by phone and pick up and save yourself a wait. The rib eye is pretty good, although often a bit on the "fatty" side, the prices are: 6 oz. $10.99 ; 9 oz. $13.99 and 12 oz. $16.99. They do cook to order, so you will get a medium rare rib eye if that is what you order. Also good are the Flat Iron Steak (6 oz. 8.99); 2 center cut pork chops ( 6.5 oz. ea. $10.99); the grilled chicken breast (7 oz. $9.79 ) and the steak tips(regular 6.5 oz. $10.49 ). Combos come with baked potato and side salad. You can upgrade your baked potato with real bacon bits, sour cream etc., My Mom loves their sweet potato and makes a meal out of it. My brother swears by their "sweet tea" and claims it is the best in town. So, if you have two hearty eaters, you can easily pig out on the large rib eye dinner and with delivery driver tip, spent ~ 41.00 or if you want something simple like a cheeseburger you can get that. I don't recall what the minimum order is. The prices I show are from the dinner menu, the lunch menu is cheaper. Do try Steak Out. It is super-convenient if you don't want to cook, or if you are travelling. Once you try them, you will wish there was a location in your home town.
