The rates are actually too low in my opinion. We stayed in the Hummingbird room. We called at around 8 pm because we were too tired to keep driving and were hoping they had a room available which they did. We really lucked out. Breakfast was wonderful and cooked to order for each of us. Miranda slept on the sleeper sofa which was just as comfortable as our bed. Very nice people. Would highly recommend to people traveling to Alabama.

Room Tip: Hummingbird room upstairs can sleep 4.

My girlfriends and I recently stayed a weekend at Camellia House B&B in Luverne, AL. It is a large Victorian decorated in period fashion. The bedrooms are large and comfortable with bathrooms en suite. We were served an excellent home-cooked Southern breakfast both Sat and Sun morning. Delicious!
We were looking for a bed and breakfast for a relaxing girls weekend retreat, and we found it. We enjoyed the front porch and the parlor for catching up and just relaxing.
It was a little off the beaten path, which could be considered a good thing actually. It's a small town but we enjoyed shopping in the downtown area and found several nice restaurants very close to the inn.
I was a little nervous to find out that I didn't have control over the room's temperature; however, it worked out fine on this particular weekend.
There are quite a few cats that reside at the house (and on your car) so if you're not a cat lover you might not be too happy.
The innkeepers do a good job of making you feel welcome and insuring that your stay is a good one.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for accommodations in this area.
