We stopped here for one night during a long drive from Florida. This is a fairly new hotel with a very modern feel to the decor (lots of stainless steel, red leather, red and black color schemes) which was fun. Room was nice and clean.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but directly off the highway for a quick stop. There is nothing around the hotel at all. To the side is a huge open lot of land that has nothing on it and to the back is a large forest of trees. There is a Bass Pro shop across the street and a race track, both behind a forest of trees. The hotel car park had lots of racing cars as there was apparently a race there on the following day, but still plenty of parking and no noise.

The only place to eat is a Subway that is next to a gas station on the corner. It is situated at the top of a very steep drive that some cars will scrape going up. The street at the bottom is scarred with gouges from people that didn't make it up without scraping. We made it up ok.

The front desk was very pleasant and check in was fast. Our room was next to the elevator on the 4th floor. After noticing the loud vibrating noise in the room I discovered it was the ice machine that was directly behind the wall that the beds were on. It was a loud pulsating hum that was very annoying. Then the air conditioning unit came on. It was very loud, though it did keep the room cool. We asked for a different room due to the noise from the ice machine and were kindly moved to a room on the other side of the hotel. The room was quiet and as nice as the previous room in layout. Then the air conditioning unit came on. Just as loud as the other one, so this is obviously the way they sound in this hotel. I was able to sleep ok, but the noise from the unit kept my wife up most of the night. She also could not sleep due to the bed being too hard.

Breakfast was typical Hampton and everything worked. A lot of times you find machines not working at breakfast, but it all worked here and was good. Pool is small and outside with a few people swimming. We didn't swim so don't know if it was heated.

It was only $114 for the night with tax, so it was cheap enough for a quick stop, but if you want a lot of restaurants and a quiet room you may want to try a different exit.

Room Tip: Don't get a room next to the elevator if the ice machine against your wall. We had to move due t...

This hotel is so nice! It is very clean as well as very modern. The motorcycle in the lobby is an added bonus! It is very close to the outlets and Barber museum! Great place to stay! It is also very close to great restaraunts in Birmingham! I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!

Just stopped at this hotel when traveling across the southeast to visit family. I picked because it was hampton inn and right off the highway. Hotel was immaculate and staff was extremely helpful. As a side note this is really close to barber motorsports park (which I did not know before hand or I would have allowed more time), which is a motorcycle mecca.

We got last minute accommodations and were thrilled with this hotel. It appears to be very new, decor was fun with a motorcycle theme in the lobby, and very modern furnishings in the guest room. Very clean, very reasonable, very friendly staff. We were particularly pleased to find a walk-in shower instead of a tub/bath in the large bathroom. This was helpful since my husband has some mobility issues. Only downside was limited restaurants in the area.

Room Tip: We were told that rooms with queen beds have tub/showers and rooms with king bed have walk-in shower...

We have stayed at this Hampton on several occasions. The Hotel is absolutely wonderful, extremely immaculate, friendly staff, great rooms with high ceilings, amazingly comfortable beds, oversized shower and richly decorated. It has a pool, excercise room with a few treadmills/steppers and a weight machine. It has great proximity to Barber Motorsports Park and located just off the highway. Absolutely no complaints.

my family went on a mini vacation to the Birmingham Zoo and Barber Racing Museum. We stayed at this particular Hampton because of its location. It's in the perfect spot. With a Bass Pro Shop directly across the street and the museum too, the zoo was only 20 minutes away. I will stay here again.

Very clean. Breakfast was typical for hotel of this type. Room was a good size and was updated. I will be returning and staying again. The location is right next to Barber Motorsports and right off the Highway, very good location!
