The rooms are 80s style motel rooms- entrance to all rooms from the outside! There is a definite old motel smell! It is going to have to do cause the price was in our budget but I doubt we will be back! However the beds and sheets are clean! The bathroom needs some work but it seems clean just stained up real bad! They do need to invest in new towels!
The ones in our room are stained and very thin! So far the staff seems really nice and helpful!

If you plan to visit Tupelo ( Elvis brirth place ) and comme back to NashvilleTn ( or Memphis Tn) as i did, the "best "choice " was to stop at Florence, Al ( Killen in fact ).
The GPS adress is not good but you see the motel just before the last turn left indicated wrongly. The location is along a river and, even my low bedroom number, no view on it.... but chairs outside allow you to be quiet and walk aroud.
Not luxuous and nothing really bad in this choice for a price of $55..... breakfast inclused in the small reception . wifi very bad but you can reseve your next motel from there with a bit patience....

The staff was friendly but the room was kind of nasty. It didnt feel very clean...the curtains had some sort of stain that kind of looked like blood. The fridge in the room was leaking all over the floor and im sure it has been that way for some time and has probably collected some mold under the carpet. The bathroom was very smelly, you could tell past guests have smoked in it and the smell wont leave. The price was good though and we survived so if youre really on a budget its not the WORST place im sure. They are pet friendly for cheap so that is why we chose this place.

Great location with low numbered rooms affording panoramic views across the river valley. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, although the air conditioner could have done with a boost. However, a comfortable and quiet night followed by a good breakfast with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit remote but the view is worth it.

We stayed here one night and it was ok for a highway motel. It was a bit shabby, but fairly clean and had the huge plus point of a modest swimming pool, overlooking the river. Breakfast was basic.

The bathroom in this hotel could use some updating (dimly lit, old faucets, no heat lamp) but this was a very nice hotel room. The mattress was the new Simmons pillowtop, and it was SO comfortable! They have a sliding glass door, and all rooms are ground floor, so nobody is above you. The TV set was nice and big but does need to be on a higher stand or tabletop.
I had no real issues with this hotel at all. Internet works very well. The owner and manager were very hospitable.

They are about 3 miles out of town, going East on US 72/43 just after you cross the bridge on the left. A short 3 minute drive to Cox Creek Pkwy and you have any restaurant you could ever want. I would surely stay here again if I was in Florence area.

The Super 8 in Florence has a really nice setting on the banks of the river- see the photo I have added. This is the one benefit, and the other is it is really cheap at around $60 a night.
But there are drawbacks- it is maybe 5 or 6 miles out of town and near no other motels. And you have a 5 mile drive to get to any choice of restaurants. So convenient it's not. The breakfast is very basic- coffee and some plastic wrapped danish.

Lastly, it was clean enough, but could do with a serious overhaul. Fittings and furniture are really old, and the aircon just can't cope. One ice machine a long way from the rooms, and an empty, broken snack machine sum it up.

But for $60 and one night? Ok I suppose....
