Stayed here 2 nights on business. Upon arriving, there was one desk clerk checking people in. She was very quick and courteous but at 530 pm, it would make sense to have another person helping out. The hotel is very large. The rooms on the first floor wrap around the indoor/outdoor pool area and the only window out is a door leading directly to the pool. This is probably convenient for families or folks wanting to take advantage of the pool, but for a business traveler its not that great- you cant let any light into the room unless you want everyone in the pool looking directly into you room. The room itself is a good size but the beds are extremely soft and not that comfortable. Great TV set-up with many channels, movies, etc. Great ergonomic chair in the "office area" but to pay 9.95 for either wired or wireless internet, at a Marriott, took me by surprise. Not sure if there's free wi-fi in the common areas, but I doubt it. Breakfast is a room-service type deal so its neither free not convenient/quick. The hotel is easy to find and is about 30 seconds off the highway. Its adjacent to the Space Center and the location can't be beat. The property is showing its age however and you can tell this hotel used to be cream of the crop 15-20 years ago but is struggling to keep up with the times. One major kudo- this hotel has the nicest gym of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Its not a dinky room with 3 treadmills and a few weights like most other hotels. There are 6 or 8 nice treadmills, the same amount of bikes, free weights, and machine weights as well. Extremely clean, fruit is provided, and extremely convenient (24/7). So if you're not spending much time in the room and want a good location with a nice gym, this place is for you. For lounging around all day with hopes of eating well and surfing the web, this might not be the place for you.
