Look for special days in the spring and autumn when dogs are allowed at the park! On leash around the general pubic, but off leash on a beautiful open field. Share a bottle of wine with friends while the dogs play against a southern sunset.

I've been to many botanical gardens and this is one of the best. Special attractions during the year make for great family fun. Don't miss the new butterfly house.

Our grandchildren love to go to the Botanical Gardens so much we purchased a Grandparent membership. In warm weather take the children in bathing suits, there are lots of water based activities and a "pond" children can play in. There is a wonderful pirate ship to play on and other oversized activities for children to do. Ages 1-90 will enjoy this garden.
There are beautiful areas for garden lovers to savor. A shuttle with volunteer guides are available for those who have trouble walking a long distance and is the best way to get an overview of the entire garden. There is so much to do and see it is hard to describe. The butterfly indoor garden has live turtles as well as butterflies and small birds.
The cafe has great and inexpensive homemade sandwiches, including my grandson's favorite, peanut butter and jelly. My favorite is any one of the many chicken salad varieties they rotate.
Christmas is a great time to drive through the awesome light display the entire community contributes to.

we visited last weekend . A cool breeze of fall in the air . No frost yet so still a lot of flowers blooming to see and smell , we spent about 6 hours there just looking ,sitting, smelling ,and enjoying the cool breeze ! What a great way to spend a day doing nothing but watching butterflies , smell flowers ,and watch the children learn about Mother Nature !

This is a great place for the family. You can wear the kids out on all the trails and play grounds. Halloween activities are the heat! Costumes, hay rides, face painting, candy, good times. Galaxy of lights at Christmas time is really neat. During the summer it has all the pretty flowers. A great garden to visit and enjoy. Well kept, bathrooms are accessible all around the park, concession stand is available for waters, snacks, and other food.
