We loved the food but did not return because the small setting was overpowered by the smoking section. I am not sure that it could be avoided as that is just one of the features of the restaurant. I would be happy to return if they ever move to a larger local or arrange outdoor dining to give a little breathing room to those preferring not to smoke. Wonderful Caprice salad and Steaks! Nice wine list as well! Excellent service.

We arrived to heavy cigar smoke which you have to walk through to get to the "Non-Smoking Dining Restaurant." This place is primarily a cigar bar/lounge, and it is beautiful, but the smoke is thick. Parts of the restaurant were "high end" such as white or black napkins, champagne buckets by the tables, and a wine menu. But other things weren't, such as the service: "here are your appetizers, I'll let you guys figure out whose is whose" for our table of 4. The food was all good, but it wasn't up to the gourmet quality you would expect for $25-35 a plate. The iceberg wedge salad was sad- a scoop of tomatoes on one side, a scoop of olives on the other, some blue cheese and bacon scattered on the plate and the plain wedge just sitting in the middle. The dessert menu didn't resemble an Italian Dessert menu. I don't think we would return...

This was our first trip to Huntsville and we let Google suggest a place to eat. Way to go Google!! Dave treated us like family when we came in the door and Francine saw to our every need. The food was excellent, well worth the price. (More than we can say for the over-priced fare from the franchise in the lobby of the Embassy Suites where we had lunch......) We stayed for coffee and dessert, something we rarely do. Can't say enough good things about our experience at Nick's and can hardly wait to try something else from their menu on our next trip through town. Highly recommended!

Wow! We heard about this little place for a while before we finally gave it a try. It’s just so rare to have a truly wonderful dining experience that I don’t ever expect it. Nicks is IT! THE ONE! We have been back many times and it never disappoints. Always rates a 10 in every category. Thanks Nick for finding south Huntsville.

Once you walk thru the door you forget that you are in Alabama strip mall. Atmosphere of NYC or Vegas with a late 50s early 60s flair. Decorated with original paintings and items from their home. Dining area is separate from the cigar bar. Our party of 4 had 3 different meals, one veal piccata with excellent sauce, very creamy; one ribeye steak, cooked to perfection and more than he could eat; two had the fish special which was a fresh amberjack that had a nice crispy crust and moist inside. We shared antipasta appetizer between the 4 of us which was plenty. Split homemade dessert (cannoli) between two. Everyone was full and had a couple of after dinner drinks in the bar with the friendly locals. Service was great in both restaurant and bar
