“Very Cool!”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

My husband had dreams of attending space camp growing up so visiting here was a dream come true for him. We both had a really good time. It was really neat to be able to see the rockets and space memorabilia up close.

“Space center worth the trip!”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

We went here with a group of cub scouts, so we had a guided tour that went from 10AM-4PM.
There is a good number of exhibits and plenty of rockets to see. They have a full size mock up of the Saturn V inside the main museum that makes you appreciate the enormity of everything. There was informative historical exhibits as well as things you can touch. The free rides were fun, just realize they are for kids 9 or older (there is a hight restriction on some). I would say that smaller kids (under 6) would get bored with an all day tour, but going in for a couple of hours would be good for them. The food we had was GRUNT (ugh). Pizza, chips, oreos, and a soda was our group's box lunch. They really need to improve this! Go see the museum and bring your own food!

“Unique attraction, worth it”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

US Space and Rocte Center showcases space exploration, especially the US effort. Many artifacts on display including rockets and missles in rocket park. A Saturn V rocket on loan from the Smithsonian is in display in the Davidson Center. Dont forget to see Space Camp and the training Center floor. The main musuem is starting to show it's age and (some) bathroom facilities leave a bit to be desired. IMAX theater and other non-space realted attractions have been recently added. Spaceshot and G Force are available for the kids and adults to ride. During the summer walking the grounds can be an adventure, black aspalt coupled with Alabama's 95F temps and humidity. Admission prices can be a bit steep. Worthwhile stop.

Lots of great exhibits, a few rides/interactive exhibits, and a really terrific IMAX movie. The food leaves something to be desired, but the overall experience is really good.

“Great for space enthusiasts!”
Reviewed May 9, 2012

Beginning with the early vonBraun days and going through the more recent space explorations this museum offers an interesting and instructive learning center. Children 10 and over will enjoy it. A lot of original space vehicles are available.
