I'll be quick. I LOVE all Hampton Inns. They are reasonably priced, clean and have GREAT breakfasts. My MAIN complaint about this hotel is that we were coming by boat from Chattanooga. We stopped for dinner at Goose Pond. The hotel KNEW what direction we were coming from but did NOT ADVISE us that if our boat was NOT a dingy that we would NOT fit under the causeway bridge. We wouldn't/couldn't fit. It was late. We were low on gas. In addition we had to spend MORE on gas driving to find a Marina to host our boat for the night. AND we had to PAY to dock the boat for the night. AND we had to pay for transportation to and from the Marina. It was a bit of a nightmare. The hotel is GREAT but BEWARE if your boat is NOT SUPER tiny you won't fit under the low bridge. We were NOT in a big boat but we still couldn't fit under the bridge. Otherwise it's a great hotel with nice views. I gave "service" a LOW rating because they knew we were coming by boat and should have INFORMED us that the bridge was VERY low that we had to come under to get to the hotel by boat. I should have asked for a discount due to all the inconvenience and huge hassle but it was VERY late and we were very tired and frustrated. I'm sure we are not the first to come via boat from Chattanooga. If you are coming to watch an event be sure to ask for a room on the left side of the hotel. We stayed on the right side and had a nice view of the River.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a view of the river.

The Hotel was in the Country and right on a huge lake. The lobby was recently remodeled and clean. The staff was friendly and recognized me as a Diamond Member. The room was quiet and the bed the clean and great quality I have come to love about the Hampton Inn's nation wide. The breakfast was okay. The Eggs were dried out, but the coffee was fresh.

Though we live hardly an hour away, we had heard much about the beauty of Guntersville since moving to AL from FL (yet still Seminole fans). Driving into the Guntersville basin from Albertville area is a treat- a beautiful mix of greenery and water fills the panorama. And the Hampton Inn sits in a strategic spot to enjoy it all.

The room was very comfortable and the staff was very accommodating (especially breakfast hostess Allison). We had a 'chance meeting' with some other guests with whom we share many interests. Although our visit was prior to the Labor day weekend crowds, this facility is spacious and sound-insulated enough to avoid difficulties. We look forward to a return visit.

Had to stay in Gunthersville on business and I am glad I decided to stay at the Hampton. The room was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. You're next to the lake and very close to the rest of the town. The rate was reasonable. Enjoyed breakfast as well. Will repeat next time I am anywhere in the area for business or leisure.
