upon arival the front desk staff was friendly, in fact the guy who was working there was rater big and made me fill safe knowing that some one there was able to take care of people problems. we got in our room and every thing was so nice all the furnature was new and the beds were so nice, we had a good two days the breakfast was just right, the manager was very helpful, and booked us for the summer, the housekeepers were very polite and had every thing we needed.

This Comfort Inn does not live up to any kind of standards you would normally expect from a Comfort Inn. I cannot believe that the last reviewer rated this a great hotel to stay in. The room smelled like feet/mildew and in general was old, dingy. The carpets were moist and stained. The walls were sloppily painted and there was a hole in the wall. The staff were pleasant, but that couldn't make up for how unpleasant the condition of the room was. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

Comfort Inn is the worst in the area. The employees are rude and provide no help with anything. The breakfast bar was unattended and our of something everyday, coffee, milk, etc. The rooms were unkept, rundown, and tacky. Our room, the carpet was torn and smelled bad, a hole punched in the bathroom door, cigarette burns on the vanity, toilet and tub.
Our reservation was to have a fridge and microwave included with the room, got there and was told that would be 10 dollars extra per day. Had to call Comfort Inn Corperate to resolve that problem. The front dest employee was so very rude and would not compromise on anything. Only 2 towels per room, per day, no exceptions. And the pool was green, and very unsanitary.
Comfort Inn should be ashamed of having their name on this facility.

our room would have been nicer had it not been for the moisture
buildup in the carpet in front of the air conditioning unit, there was so much mold and mildew in the carpet that the carpet was wet for the entire weekend we stayed there, our room was not the
only room that had this problem, we also were told that this is a recurring problem since the hotel is right next to the waterway between Gulf shores and Foley, AL

what a joke! this place is sub-par economy roadside hotel. if we had paid $39 - $59 per night i wouldn't be happy, but i probably wouldn't take the time to write this review. just another cheap, bad hotel experience...you get what you pay for right? wrong.

we paid $180 per night for a semi-dirty, musty, dump of a hotel room. the smell, carpet and bedding was questionable at best. the shower pressure was TERRIBLE, the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. the maid service sucked. the breakfast was a JOKE.

i felt even worse when we visited some friends at the key west hotel down the street which LOOKED worse on the outside but in fact their rooms were maybe a touch NICER than ours - and they paid $69 per night!

i certainly felt like i'd been HAD by the comfort inn gulf shores.

PLEASE don't overpay like we did!

I booked a room 2 weeks in advance for my son age 18 with another friend to arrive on Easter Sunday. The hotel knew this information took my credit card and all my personal information. On late arrival the hotel manager denied my son (who was from out of town). 2 other parents were denied helping with the situation till I could figure out what to do. I was out of town and would take 4 hours to get to him. The manager told my son that he did not matter and the owner would agree. I called and was treated very rude. I changed my families Easter plans, booked another hotel and met my son at 10 pm. The manager who said he had the authority to cancel anyone, allowed my son to cancel my reservations (whom he told us was not an adult) without my permission. My son had no where to go till I got to Gulfshores.

We stayed in this motel in April 2005. The room had recently been renovated (after the hurricane) but the contractors did an extremely poor job. The smell in the room was horrible, and even airing it out did no good. The door to the bathroom stuck so badly Hercules would have had a hard time opening it. There were bugs in the room. We were going to stay longer, but one night was enough to convince us to leave.
