“Great place to stay. Would go back!”

We stayed at the Phoenix All Suites West.
Great rates, very nice, clean rooms and good service. Well equipped kitchenette. Beautiful view from our balcony of the clean, white sandy beach.
Our suite slept 4 adults comfortably . My husband and I slept in the private bedroom. The bed was comfortable. The two guests slept on the Sofa bed and they did complain that it could be a bit more comfortable. There was a bunk bed only large enough for two small children.
There were good restaurants within a decent driving distance. One restaurant next to the hotel. We only tried thier icecream (which was great) but did not eat a full meal there.
We were very satisfied with our overall stay. Would definitely go back again.

This was our first trip to Gulf Shores we stayed at the Phoenix X unit #102, the pictures does not do much justice. We went to the outlets to do lots of shopping, Joe Patys and Lamberts (Home of the Home Thrown Rolls)
All I can say is you must go to Lamberts, our condo was within walking distance to the beach, some morning's I got up early enough to see the sun rise, totally awesome. We will be returning, everyone was so nice we never encountered one rude person.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this property.. This hotel was just as nice as all the reviews suggest. It was very clean, super quiet and had beautiful views. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected, but still adequate for myself, my husband and daughters 9 and 13. The pool was very nice. Beach access was great. Nice boardwalk. Nothing about the hotel was over the top, but very nice for a budget friendly family vacation.

We traveled with 4 teenage boys so the half bath was a lifesaver! The master suite had a king bed, the hallway had 2 bunks and a living area with a sofa bed. Very roomy for 6 people. Kitchen was fully loaded however I did not go to the beach to cook. The balcony view was beautiful and I enjoyed sitting out and reading. We saw dolphins every evening. We were on the 10th floor so the elevators were a problem. The pool is kinda small and that was ok but they only had about 5 lounge chairs and 2 tables with 4 patio chairs for the entire complex. We were fortunate that each time we were at the pool there wasn't a crowd. Walk from pool right out to the beach. Will stay again!

We stayed at the Phoenix All Suites West and the stay was quite nice. The beach is great and so is the view. It is within walking distance to a lot of places. The condo was large enough and very functional. However, the elevators are terrible. There are too many cleaning people trying to use just before check out time and while everyone is heading to the beach. One elevator was down for some time, which made matters intolerable. It seems that the elevator problems are well-known to the staff. I would recommend that the management company totally replace the elevators with better models.

Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. This hotel was a great value compared to other locations on the beach. Easy walk to souvenir shops and food! I'm no beach expert but it also seemed to me like this part of the beach was very nice and not overcrowded at all. if you get up early enough in the morning don't be surprised to see some dolphins swimming in close to the beach.

only negatives: extremely slow elevators, small pool, no exercise facility

My Husband and I have been married for almost 12 years and haven't had a honeymoon. So we decided to take a trip to Gulf Shores. He had been there for work after Hurricane Ike and he wanted me to see it. He didn't stay in a motel he just camped at the camp grounds. So when we had the chance to go we went. The first night we got there the Phoenix Suites were all full. So we went to a motel down the road and paid way too much money for it, considering it was awful. It was a party motel we could tell. We had the opportunity to check out one of the rooms at the phoenix and we didn't even want to go back to the other motel. But we had to because we had already paid and the Phoenix Suites didn't have any rooms until the next day. So we stayed out as late as we could and went back to the other motel and went right to sleep and when we got up in the morning we left. We went to the Phoenix Suites and paid for 2 nights for our room and we were allowed to get the full beach access and all the immenities of the grounds even though our room wasn't even available yet. So we went to the ocean and had a good time. And when our room was available they called our cellphones. We loved the room. We don't have anything bad to say about it. We didn't do any cooking but the next time we go I am going to carry food to cook. Everyone was very friendly. The room was immaculent. It felt like home. We did not want to leave. We had such a good time, We will definately go back. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone and everyone.
