Food was good. Nice location if you are staying towards the tip of the peninsula of Fort Morgan. The kids meals are served on a Sassy Bass frisbee. Fried Shrimp was great.

Food got mixed reviews at our table--I think you have to like soggy, greasy fries to rate the food okay. And, they charged us for an appetizer hushpuppy (12 of them according to the menu) but what they brought out only had six. When we asked the waitress she was very short and said she brought the right one and certainly when we got the bill we had been charged the $7 but only got half the number of promised hushpuppies. (Blond middle-aged waitress being short/rude will be a theme to this review.)

Atmosphere--we went a little after noon so no band just diners and our party of 7 plus an infant were able to be seated right away. Also dining at the time was a full table of 10 or so, plus a few smaller tables. Seems like a neat little place, but the attitude (not sassy-fun but rude) of the waitress ruined the experience for us.

Prices--overpriced for the quality of food you got. $6 for a small little plastic cup of beer for an example.

Location--If you are staying in Ft. Morgan, then this will be one of the few dining options. But this place was rated #3 restaurant under the Gulf Shores listings and it is WAY too far away from GS (20-25 min) for anyone to drive for sub-par, over-priced food. (And then, to be afraid of a potential confrontation every time you asked the waitress for anything.)

Service--we got almost everything we needed, but my what an attitude. I read so many postings beforehand of the incredible wait staff so maybe we go the one "dud" being as we were there during the day, but I woudn't wish her attitude upon even my enemies.

Overall--we didn't eat out alot but we would definitely NOT drive all the way out here and I am still in shock at how this place got to be rated #3 in the Gulf Shores area. We would send you FOR LUNCH to either Shrimp Basket or Live Bait--both of which gave us much more pleasant experiences.

We ordered grilled shrimp, fried fish and pulled pork poboy. The fish and shrimp were great but the fries were awful. Limp and cold. Think they were homemade, but they were either not cooked enough or had sat too long in kitchen. Same with the vegetables served with the shrimp. The pulled pork BBQ had a funky sauce. Wish we had stayed in orange beach. This place is a long drive from Orange Beach which is where we stayed. Meal for 4 was 80 bucks. Too pricey for what we got.

We had a great dinner at this great little restaurant. Se were there by 5:00 PM to be sure to have a place for dinner. Usually, there is a long cue to be seated if you arrive later. The food is great and so are the "home" cocktails. Our 8 year old daughter had a great kid meal served in a freesebee that she kept (it is included!). We will be back for sure !!

We drove out to Sassy Bass for an early dinner. I had heard about a chicken & waffle dish and thought I might try it. They didn't have it but they did have chicken and biscuits. I decided to go with the fresh catch over yellow rice and veggies. We all enjoyed our food. The bill was a bit more than we normally spend on a meal for our family . However, the service was super and we all left full.
