“Get your Sassy on...”

This place is a bit of a drive but is well worth it. We were greeted at the door by the Owner Mark Frolich, Mark was the former owner of Calypso Joe's Caribbean Grill. Their food is out of this world. Band started at 7 and we never had so much fun. I recommend Sassy Bass as a place to try while your on the Gulf Coast,

“Second time was evenbetter!!!”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

In late may on a short trip to gulf shores we decided to try a small restaurant with a scenic drive down fort morgan road!!! We were pleasantly surprised at the fantastic service, great wait staff, and great food!!!!! Since we were planning another trip at the end of June, we definitely wanted to go back again!!!!! We were not disappointed!!!!!! The gooda balls were fantastic served with red pepper sauce, and the crab bisque was awesome! I had two servings!!!!! My wife had the chilean sea bass and requested some sweet chilli sauce for the dish- and this dish was cooked perfectly and was a unique dish served around

“Good Food! No wait! Hot as Hades inside :-(”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We visited the Sassy Bass as a close option to The Beach Club resort on Orange Beach. Their food was good (our group had decent crab cakes and tasty pulled pork sandwiches, among other things). Our waitress was extremely friendly (the STRONG POINT of the Gulf Shores area!) and we had NO wait which was RARE in the Gulf Shores area.

I would have given this restaurant a 5 star rating had it not been for the extreme heat inside the restaurant. No a.c. and no air circulation led to very sweaty legs on their wooden benches. My guess is that the temps exceeded 90 degrees inside.

I WOULD RECOMMEND this place for their food, so perhaps CARRY OUT would be a good option for anyone staying in the area.
