“Frozen fish from Asia”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

I was told by one of their previous managers they have a cold storage warehouse in Mobile where they store the seafood imported from Asia - not exactly what one would expect at a restaurant by the Gulf of Mexico!

“Consistently good”

We always enjoy our visits to the original oyster house. Their peanut butter pie is the best! And our service was great.

“Best Fried Oysters Ever!!!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

Start with the perfectly fried green beans and alligator bites. The sauce for the alligator was so wonderful, I bought a bottle in the gift store. The fried oysters I had were perfect. My sister had the crab cake salad and loved it. The other sister had the stuffed flounder and loved it. We wish we had eaten all of our meals there, while visiting Gulf Shores Ala.

“Not worth it”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

This place is not worth the wait. Every night the line wraps around the building about two or three times. When you get seated and order your dinner - you realize that it is a big plate of fried goodness that is really not much different than any of the others around. You start to wonder why you waited two hours to eat here.
