Checked tablecloths on the tables, greeted immediately by friendly servers, quickly seated, and coffe brought to the table for the coffe drinkers. Ordered off the menu instead of doing the buffet. Good southern cooked food. Servers are joking and talking with customers. Will go back.

Hazel's Nook reminds you of your local, family-owned cafe where the locals gather in groups for breakfast or lunch. The tables reminded me of diner tables with red and white squares on the table cloths and waitresses who know everybody either by sight or mouth! Anyway, Wille, our waitress was friendly, funny and helpful. We had the breakfast buffet (although we each only took one plate). Mine was scrambled eggs, baked/cooked apple slices with cinnamon, a few slices of well cooked bacon, and a cup of 'endless' coffee. There were omelets to order, biscuits and grits/gravy, sausage links, and a variety of after meal 'treats'. Prices were very reasonable and this is definitely a family and friends place. Business people probably eat lunch here often.

Thumbs up for Willie and for Hazel's Nook.

We stop by for lunch during Thanksgiving week.
Outside appearance this seem to be a diner. They had a very small buffet - 2 meats, salad, 2 veggies and cobbler. UGH - very bland, poor quality food. Waitress was aggressively friendly and couldn't keep her hands to herself! We couldn't get out of there fast enough!!

I enjoyed eating here. Fresh made omelets to order, plus buffet, at a reasonable price, breakfast served till eleven am, i like that. I plan on eating here again next time in in Gulf Shores.

We visited Hazel's last year and were very impressed. We stopped by two days ago while on vacation for another breakfast buffet and were let down. The service was average, nothing special. The omelette I ordered was average, nothing special. The bacon on the buffet line varied from nice and crisp, to greasy, to burned. The best part of my meal was the cheese grits.... We won't visit on our next vacation. I really wanted to like this place, but it's not the great place we visited last year for some reason.
