We took our family here for breakfast before visiting the zoo. We've made it a staple in our annual fall beach trip! The staff is friendly and it feels like you're tucked away in a small town diner when you are there. The paintings of flying pigs and other animals with photos of guests' pets keep the kids entertained. The food is wonderful and the Fried a Kitty's toast (fried French toast) is delicious!

The hubs and I hit Kitty's Kafe for the first time and we loved it. It's a diner sort of place, with kitschy farm-themed decor. A lot of locals eat here. We were there on a Sunday morning, and it wasn't too crowded, although our server said they had been slammed earlier.
The hubs got the breakfast combo, which included 2 eggs, grits or potatoes (he got potatoes), toast or biscuit (rye toast) and sausage or bacon (sausage). He got two very nice sized sausage patties and said everything he had was hot and fresh.
I got the combo, which included one egg, grits or potatoes (potatoes), bacon or sausage (bacon) and a pancake. The pancake was about the size of a hubcap and it was delicious. The bacon was good with a lot of lean, the scrambled egg fluffy and the potatoes were tasty. Not many places offer home fried potatoes, so I always take advantage of them.
They serve Community Coffee, and it's good. Our server was prompt with refills and took good care of us.
The next time we're on the coast, we'll go to Kitty's.

We ate here for breakfast. The waiter was in a bit of a "snit"over something so another waitress actually took over to fill our coffee, etc. The decor is cute with the "flying pigs" and all the animal pictures! Their coffee is delicious and they cooked our bacon exactly as we asked. The bacon was a good quality. The restaurant is in a small outdoor mall on the end but they were open early even though the mall was not. We ordered 2 eggs with bacon, grits, toast and coffee and the bill was about $25 for the two of us...a little bit pricey for breakfast we thought.

If you want a very good meal with more vegetable selections than you can count, visit Kitty's Kafe (It's Krazy Kool). In November, we found that you can walk in and be seated without a wait if you arrive around 1:30 to 2PM for lunch/brunch. The "Meat and Two" includes your beverage for $7.99! The take-out menu points this fact out but the table menu does not! The squash casserole and Gouda grits are great as is the fried pork chops and meat loaf.

This is my favorite place to eat in Gulf Shores for "regular" food. The breakfast is super, flavorful and reasonably priced. Their lunch is wonderful too. A great place to get a wide selection of vegetables and comfort food. My husband's favorite there is meatloaf. I always get a veggie plate. They usually have several specials each day. We are always too full to try desserts, which sound delightful.
