Owner description: Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a championship golf course, new beach pavilion, rental cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, hiking trails, Zip Line, and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

Nice facilities, without the crowd of the public beach. They have adequate bathrooms and a small snack shop during the summer.

I was in town for a half marathon than actually put us running throughout the park. The park appeared very well taken care of. Nice area

This review is for visiting the park for the day but not camping or RVing over night. That may be a different experience all together.
A friend and I went early and brought our lunches, bicycles and geocaching equipment. It was a wonderful experience. If you are parking for the day it's only a dollar. The folks at the nature center were friendly and we learned a lot about the local wildlife. This is good because later we ran across a snake while geocaching and it was just a friendly ribbon snake. Also, at the center we participated in a geocaching education event led by a ranger from this park. It was so good!

The park has many miles of paved bicycle trails through swamps and woods where we saw an alligator and saw deer and bob cat tracks! There is also golf and bird watching and the beach! A beautiful beach too. Totally worth the day and if I ever buy an RV I'll try it for the night too.

We drove through the park because we saw a sign for a nature center. This is a beautiful park, with three different lakes. But it is truly a huge parking lot for RVs and camper trailers. If you have an RV, I would highly recommend this spot!!! The nature center was one room with not much to offer.

The campground has mostly great amenities. Our kids loved the pool and nature center. Fish cleaning station is a joke. A true waste that needs updating. There is very little shade. Check in can be a hassle at times too.
