Simply...good country cookin'! Feels like you are sitting down at your grandma's table for lunch. We enjoyed the buffet.

I've eaten at Red's many times over the years. I lived a few miles away, so it was nice to go there for lunch or dinner when I didn't feel like cooking. Red's is a unique place to eat. Their buffet is very good and a good price. You can also order off of the menu. They also have "Steak Night" which I have always enjoyed. Their food is good and tastes like food you'd eat at a friend's house for dinner. Sundays are pretty busy right after church...keep that in mind.

We'd heard about Red's and thought it would be a charming dining experience. Were we ever wrong. We drove the 30 miles to Grady from Montgomery and took a seat. The waitresses seemed rushed and cold even though only a few tables were taken. We were asked if we wanted a menu. Um, yes? They seemed irritated that we didn't choose the buffet; i.e. they had to actually work.

We ordered a steak well done, a children's chicken finger plate, two appetizers and a BLT. The steak arrived first, and arrived pink in the middle. Ten minutes later came the kid's plate. Still no appetizers, and no BLT. We waited. And waited. And waited. The steak and kid's meal were finished and still there wasn't even an appetizer or simple sandwich. After about a half hour, we finally had to alert one of the inattentive waitresses, who immediately brought the food over and said, "We're so busy with to-go orders," not bothering to make eye contact or offer anything as an apology. Nice excuse, but she had been sitting and talking when we had to find her and ask about our food. The restaurant was barely busy, yet the employees acted as if it were their first night. The food was so-so when it finally arrived, and to add insult to injury, one of the appetizers ordered wasn't available, yet no one bothered to inform us of such, so only one made it to the table without explanation. The staff couldn't care less if were were satisfied or not, and any other customer would not have been as nice as we were. What a terrible experience! Never again, and we're warning all of our friends to steer clear of Red's.
