Imagine that you are invited to a fish lodge to eat some down home seafood....you are at Wolf Bay Lodge in Foley. No frills, just great seafood (and I saw alot of people eating frog legs). They just know how to treat you and cook the food. You really taste the oysters, shrimp, scallops....not just alot of batter. They have a large, plentiful salad bar, which has become somewhat of a novelty.

I usually eat here very early, since the locals always show up in force. (In march, Gov. Bentley was dining wih his family a few tables over from me.) So you know this restaurant has a fine reputation of great seafood.

Don't miss it!

The seafood platter was plentiful and fresh! A little expensive but fresh and tasty. It came with trip to the salad bar, yum.

Pretty crowded the night we went so service was not great.

Not touristy which was a plus!

My family ate here in mid-April for the first time in a couple years. It was not busy in the middle of the week but we got very good service and food. Between 3 of us, we had salads, gumbo, fried oysters, and a seafood platter - and all of it was delicious. The oysters and shrimp were fried in a light batter that was crispy and not greasy. You can order grilled seafood if you don't want fried. On Friday and Saturday nights, it is often VERY busy, but they have a huge parking lot and plenty of space inside.

Very best shrimp on the Coast! Clean. Wait staff friendly and helpful. Salad bar at lunchtime is great - even deviled eggs which have to be replace constantly. We won't eat friend shrimp anywhere else after enjoying those at Wolf Bay!

We had dinner here and was pleasantly surprised. It is not a gourmet type facility, more like a cafeteria, but the prices are extremely reasonable and the food quality is excellent. We had gumbo (excellent), and burgers. For $5, this had to be the best burger I have had on the Gulf Coast. 1/2 pound of meat and it came with fries......for $5, wow! It would be a good place for families too. Nice atmosphere for kids and somewhat fun in decoration.
