The beignets here are the absolute best on the gulf coast better than anything in New Orleans (Sorry NOLA). There is now an awning in the courtyard seating allowing diners to have better shade and shelter from the occasional rain shower. The menu is new, of course the beignets and breakfast panino are still there. But the portions have gone to half portions as standard (but for a reasonable up charge you can get the full monty). I had the new Italian panino and my companion had the traditional breakfast panino. We found the food perfect for a light breakfast. They're also experimenting with stuffing the beignet base with foods instead of merely covering it with powered sugar. I didn't go this route this time, but it is intriguing.
