Description: Master Joe's is the leading sushi restaurant in the area. Established in 2009, it has continuously been voted Best Restaurant on the Eastern Shore and Best Sushi for the entire Mobile Bay and Gulf Shores area by the local magazine "Laniappe". Joe's is located in the heart of downtown Fairhope. The long bar and banquette seating give a sence that you have been transported out of this quiant town and into the big city. The modern decor compliments the casual style. Joe Ou, owner of Master Joe's, and his crew of extremely talented chefs settle for nothing less than perfection. With an extensive array of sushi and other Japanese cuisine there is something for the adventurous and novice alike.

This sushi restaurant is excellent. The sushi is very fresh and why not. It's located near one of the most prolific fishing grounds in the world. But this chef/ owner takes sushi to news highs by combining unique ingredients. It's a real pleasure to dine here.

Stopped here for lunch and got the special - 3 choices of sushi rolls for $10.95 - a bargain and delicious food - be sure to get their homemade soy sauce and the salad with homemade ginger dressing. My friend got the hibachi grilled shrimp and said it was fabulous as well. Great service topped off the meal!

I don't have sushi very often and consider it a treat when I do. This gem of a place is located right next door to the Hampton Inn I was staying in and was rated well in Tripadvisor, so I tried it. Four of us were seated after about a 45 minute wait. We arrived at 6:45 PM and the place was full. Pleasant sidewalk outside with chairs to wait (actually next door at the antique shop) so it was no problem. Nice wine list (we had the Le Crema Chardonnay - Excellent with sushi) and a full bar if you are so inclined. Food came quickly despite the full restaurant and staff were friendly. Highly recommend.

The best sushi ever! Try the baked sushi dishes- you will wake up in the middle of the night thinking about them. This is a great restaurant!

We always make sure to hit Master Joe's when staying at the Grand. This place rivals established sushi joints in both manhattan and San Francisco.
