“great fun and fun food!!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Don't get confused, this is NOT actually IN Fairhope but waaaay out in the country what looks like a barn but is really created as a party center with game tables and goooood country food. The biscuits and gravy are the standouts...lots of different biscuits and they are huge...enough for two at least. A nice selection of sandwiches and hot dishes for lunch and breakfast...open at 5 a.am!!! Excellent pulled pork of course and BBQ. and sides...I am salivating just remembering. A fun place, big tables for families or sit with one of the locals and get the local gossip. Follow the signs and do stop!!

“Stay away!”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

My husband and I ate here for the 1st time yesterday. My chicken stir fry was straight from the freezer section and mashed potatoes were rehydrated from the box. I didn't even receive the dessert or bread that was suppose to come from with the special. My husbands biscuit was hard as a rock and covered in gravy that looked more like vomit! My sons pancakes were rubbery and burn tasting. Also, we received our food after everyone that walked in after us, and the waitress went around and filled everyone else's drinks, but kept ignoring us. We felt like outsiders and that they didn't want us there. It was a bad experience.

“Great Expections........ Biscuit Dud”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

The ugly biscuit was even worse than ugly. It would have snagged lighting and choked thunder wouldn't want to be close on a bad weather day. The omelette was way way over done inside and out. Wife's over easy eggs were like stepping stones. The bacon was cold and the hash brown's cooked in old grease. I am usually a positive reviewer but this is honest. So if you want good biscuits don't make this drive. PUT THE BRAKES ON AT FAST TIME on 98 or drive on down to Hardee's where the biscuits are BEAUTIFUL and eatable..Wouldn't give this place one star but felt it necessary to warn the public.

“Disappointed and Sad!”
Reviewed January 8, 2013 via mobile

We had read reviews before going...tried to "time" our visit so not to be too late. We were there at 9:30 a.m, and were very pleasantly greeted by two waitresses. We each had a different biscuit, BUT BOTH were taken out from under a heat lamp......biscuits were extremely dry!!!! Very disappointed!!

“Nothing fancy, just real good eats!”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Got the Ultimate Ugly Biscuit and it was delicious. Twice the size of the burger joint biscuits and costs less. Grits were great too! Staff is friendly and attentive. Don't go there expecting chandeliers and candlelight though, this is a mom & pop place in what looks like a converted barn. Like most of the South's best eateries looks can be deceiving, and this place is no exception. Forget ambiance- bring on the 5-star food. Highly recommended!
