“Lovely little hotel”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

Theres not a lot to say about this hotel. It's just a little hotel that looks lovely and bad wry friendly staff with really good prices.

The only slight downside is the walk Into fairhope town is a bit long so the location is not that good.

Cheers

Chris

Good value for the cheap rooms, not too much on the ammenities except the quaint little pool. Excellent customer service and the rooms were clean.

I looked at the good reviews on here and was completely fooled!!! The hotel attendant that checked us in was about the only nice thing during our stay. Ok, so where do I start...
I know, the small, bug infested room. The room was VERY small. We saw bugs from roaches to beetles in the room. Told the hotel attendant, but of course nothing was done. The bed was so hard, it felt like we were sleeping on the floor! We booked through a booking website, and we called them about this but they did not want to give us a refund, so basically we were stuck, since we were there for a holiday weekend and no other rooms were open in this area. The room stunk. I had to go buy febreeze just to stand the stay. Don't be fooled by the good reviews they are false!!!!! Some of the owners cousins must have wrote those reviews because the hotel was not up to par. Also my nine yr old son discovered that the door didn't lock, they fixed it, but to think, the hotel room could have easily been broken into. The breakfast was Danish. That's all. Ridiculous. To sum it up, when you rush to leave a place, shaking all of your items to make sure bugs to come home with you, the stay was horrible!!!

We found this hotel and liked the reviews.it is difficult to find so if you are travelling on south greeno road turn left @ the Rite Aid...we were pleasently surprised with the cleanliness of the room. We asked upon checkin if we decided to stay would our room be available as we only booked one night since we had nodefinate plans of staying in Fairhope. The checkin cclerk said it was booked but the mgr quickly came out and stated he would accomadate us if we chose to stay. We asked if there was a nice local seafood rest. (Not a chain) to eat at and she reccommended the Yardarm at the Fairhope pier...one word....EXCELLENT! We booked @ addional nights immediatly. If in fairhope andyou are looking f0r a very reasonable place to stay and you do not care that its NOT a big ch hotel...stay here. $59 a nite and it was 10 mins to the pier!

This motel was much better than expected. We stayed 9 days in March of this year. The motel rooms were larger than many in this reasonable price range and had screens on the main window. It included a fridge and microwave. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location makes it walk-able to several moderately priced restaurants. The stretch of Greeno Street nearby has a nice winding sidewalk with flowering trees. The drive to Fairhope itself and its municipal parks and piers is only about 5-10 minutes. A good spot also from which to explore
Spanish Fort, Daphne and other nearby areas.

Room Tip: Our room had a king bed which made the room more spacious.

This hotel is what you would expect for the price - neither better nor worse.

Very hard to find - not well marked - the sign is hidden by a tree if you're going S on the road. Other buildings are in front of it so you can't see the hotel from the road.

The deadbolt on my door was very hard to turn and lock, but it finally did. Only enough towels in the room for one person, ditto on coffee, but the front desk is helpful if you go down there.

No elevator so if you're travelling with lots of luggage or people who don't do stairs well, be sure and ask for a lower level room when making the reservation.

They accept pets but charge an additional fee and only have a certain number of pet rooms, so book early if you're travelling with pets.

Room Tip: No elevator so if you're travelling with lots of luggage or people who don't do stairs well...

We compared this hotel to the more pricey Holiday Inn Express, and it easily won. Our "deluxe king" room was decently large, a flat screen TV, and included a small kitchenette. It was clean, and had a surprisingly clean bathroom. Even the tub looked brand new! Free WiFi in the rooms is a definite plus. The kicker is, we were in a pet room with our 3 dogs (a $15 charge per pet per stay, not per night), and it didn't smell. The 3rd floor on the Holiday Inn, which is their pet floor, wreaked of dog. I am military, so they gave me $6 dollars off the price of the deluxe king room. It landed right at $74 for the night (less pet fees). I will definitely be staying there again. Oh yeah, it is also only about 10 minutes away from the famous Section Street, so it was very convenient. The only drawback was we wanted to extend out our checkout time, and all they could do was one hour. Blah.

Room Tip: The "deluxe" rooms are only a couple dollars more per night, and are well worth it. I woul...
