Visiting with friend from out of town who was craving shrimp po'boy. Cafe appeared to be under staffed. Very slow service. Shrimp were sautéed rather than fried. Bread was dry...I did't eat my roll. Server did not return to check on us. There are better places to have lunch in town. I won't be back.

Stopped before the Mardi Gras parade. They were very busy and very under staffed.....they know how busy it gets on parade nights! Poor service and ran out of food. Will not go back.

We arrived at 4:30 pm - had trouble getting waited on - wrote our order on a napkin - gave it to waitress at 5:15 after we flagged her down - table behind us gave their order about 15 minutes later and received their food and were done eating when we finally got our food at 6:30. Food was marginal at best. My grilled cheese was cold, both the potato salad and pasta salad tasted bad. Couldn't' get a bill and was never offered drinks. We went to the bar to get our drinks. We won't be back. Terrible.

We like to stop in at Triple D restaurants when we're on the road. Found out it after we walked in that it has changed hands since Guy Fieri's visit, but the bartender assured us the food was essentially the same. Since we weren't hungry but were leaving Fairhope, we asked if they could make our order to go. No problem! We ordered Naked Gumbo and a TLT (turkey, lettuce, tomato with North Alabama Tangy White BBQ Sauce) after the bartender told us they smoke meat in-house. The bartender gave us a deconstructed TLT so the sauce didn't get the sandwich soggy. We ate the order a couple hours later and everything was still very tasty. The white BBQ sauce was yummy.

Didn't read these reviews before we went, probably a good thing. We enjoyed the Gumbo very much as well as the pulled pork sandwich. I do agree with the review that said the place was dirty. I was facing the glass doors and all I kept thinking was they needed to wash the doors!
