Our first stop at this hotel. Easy enough to find as it is right on the major loop around Dothan.
Major construction going on just North of the hotel. We got a nice quiet "back side" king room with a balcony. We did not try the Bar or Dining facility on this trip. Speaking of trip, there was this easy access "step in" shower .. BUT .. the major kicker here seemed to be the shower floor had ZERO non-skid surface .. OR .. perhaps, the housekeeping staff failed to provide a shower mat .. SO .. It was almost a Mr. Toad's "Wild Ride" .. Anyway, I'll give them "benefit of a doubt" and hope they'll address these problem areas and get some things ironed out before my next potential visit.

This hotel has great potential, but still has some "bugs to work out". By this I do not mean actual bugs, but problems with the facility itself. The pool area, with great hot tub and outside bar is nicely behind the hotel and away from the street. You can hear the water fall from your balcony room - nice! Rooms are reasonable quality and size. We liked the large walk-in shower.

The staff was very responsive and helpful, though they could be a 'bit more' forward in greeting arriving guests. ;-) We had too change rooms due to an unusual rumbling noise that seemed to be coming from the kitchen exhaust flue. The other issues were problems with room locks. It was being able to get into some rooms due top computer issues, closet doors being very hard to open and bathroom exhaust fans not working. The ones that did work were very quiet, though.

We were disappointed that we were not comp'd anything for having to change rooms during our 3-night stay, especially as it did delay our day, was not easy (schedule changes), and our being rewards members.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms are worth it, but avoid rooms along side kitchen exhaust chimney/flue.

Stayed for two nights. The room was clean. It was ready for us. Toiletries were well stocked as well are the towels. Used their pool and our twin boys enjoyed it. Clean laundry room and spacious parking lot. Not much to do around town but found a shopping mall close to the area. Staff were very nice and accommodating.

Attractive new hotel, but there definitely needs to be staff training and repairs to the hotel already. The front desk clerk didn't look up when I came to the desk to check in. After I stood there for a while, he finally looked up when I said I wanted to check in. As a Platinum member, the key and registration sheet are supposed to be prepared in advance. They weren't. Platinum members are supposed to be addressed by name and recognized as Platinum members. I wasn't. Once the clerk printed the registration sheet, he plopped it on the counter without a word. Then plopped the key folder on the counter without a word. Didn't point out the elevator or business center or other facilities. The only word he said during the whole registration process was "yes" when I asked whether we had been given a Platinum upgrade. (If the very small room we got was an upgrade, I would have hated to see the room we originally reserved.) Since the clerk didn't give us a Platinum goodie bag, I asked if he had one. He just pointed to some baskets of water and snacks on the counter, without saying a word. When we got to our room, the closet doors were stuck and had to be forced open, the digital readout on the thermostat was broken so we couldn't tell the temperature, the door to the balcony was unlocked and very hard to lock. Because we were tired of driving, we decided to eat in the hotel. Usually we receive a coupon for a drink or discount in the restaurant in our key folder. Not this time. When asked, the clerk said we should have one, but he couldn't find any in the front desk and couldn't get his computer to print. He said he would tell the food service manager about the coupon. He didn't. When we went in the restaurant, the TV was on very loud. When I ordered a sirloin steak for dinner, the waitress said she would have to check because they were out of the sirloins the day before. They were still out. The Bleu Burger I ordered was almost too salty to eat. We told the waitress that we should have a drink coupon, but they were out at the front desk. When we learned the coupons were only good for draft beer or fountain drinks, we passed. The food manager did come by and give us complimentary wine and a discount on food, so he tried to make amends. We travel through Dothan fairly often, but won't be staying at this hotel again.

I was traveling in Dothan, AL on business and stayed at this hotel. Great location and a new and modern Holiday Inn full service hotel. The pool area was amazing with a Tiki Bar - you would think you were in Florida. The lounge area had a nice atmosphere with a flat screen tv. Guest rooms are brand new and mine had a balcony overlooking the pool area. Great staff and hotel if you are in this area. Will definitely return.
