If watered down strip mall Mexican food is your thing, look no further. But if you like authentic Mexican cuisine with a little cilantro and a little kick, keep driving.

This is my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant! The food here is very authentic and you get really large portions for the price. I usually get a box and take some of my meal home. I only rated the service a 4 because sometimes it is difficult to understand the server or they have difficulty understanding us. On the two occasions where our order was messed up due to a language issue, it was corrected very quickly and they offered to take that item off of our bill. The atmosphere also received a 4 due to the noise level. On weekend evenings there is a Mariachi band. Because of the wide open floor plan, at times the noise can be a bit overwhelming. This is the best Mexican food in Dothan! Friendly servers, good value for the money and fast service. You can't ask for more.

Visited La Parrilla with three business colleagues on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. The restaurant was quite busy for a Wednesday night, which meant it had to be good. We started with beverages and chips and salsa at the bar where we received service that was so attentive that we decided to eat dinner at the bar. The four of us covered an array of entrees that barely scratched the surface of the 6 page menu and we were all quite satisfied with our selections. Even the complementary chips and salsa were well above average in freshness, taste and texture. The draught beer selection skewed Mexican and the Dos Equis Amber proved a fine choice in 32 oz mug. Both entree and beverage prices were very reasonable, adding another plus to the dining experience. When we departed around 9:00 pm there were still plenty of patrons coming in for a rare Mexican dining experience in southeastern Alabama.
