We gave BB Perrin's another try after over 15 years since the last visit. Service was just adequate, the place was clean, menu selections were many and prices seemed reasonable. We had pulled pork, ribs and smoked chicken. Sides ordered were steamed broccoli, baked beans and potato salad. The smoked chicken was tasty and moist. The pulled pork was average, a bit dry and with a little more fat than there should have been but with good smoked flavor. The ribs were a total loss. While the flavor was good the ribs were very tough and fatty. Clearly the ribs needed to cook much longer to render the fat and break down the tough connective tissue. Sides were OK but nothing special. The meal was served with some sort of cheese muffin which was heavy and not especially tasty. Perrin's rates an average with us bolstered only for the tasty chicken. If it's BBQ you're after there are better choices in Decatur.
