“Interesting Place”
Reviewed March 1, 2012

I went there several years ago on a rainy day with nothing else to do and was pleasantly surprised by the exhibits. Great place for school groups!

“Interesting and informative”
Reviewed September 3, 2011

This is a great stop for young children and early teens especially, to introduce them to a world of animals, insects, reptiles and birds. You have the ability to be "up close and personal" with all manners of butterflies and beetles, eagles and hummingbirds, turtles and snakes. These specimens were preserved from ones that died so that you might study them.

I am also fascinated by being close enough to take pictures of a fox in this display, a deer leaping in another and to be able to stand near a Bald Eagle and see the size of it is awe inspiring. There are displays of every color of butterfly, all sizes of beetles fron tiny to a couple of inches.

You can go all through at your own pace. There are generally a few that are alive in the back of the museum, behind glassm to also observe. It's a nice place to spend a couple of hours. You can even touch a "moon" rock!

“Small but interesting”
Reviewed May 1, 2009

Nice small museum packed with displays of North American wildlife, insects, fossils, and rocks. Admission is free. Worthwhile if you are in town. It takes approximately 1-2 hours to go through all the displays.
