My wife and I enjoyed our spinach dip and chips, salads, asparagus and cold beer on the rear, shaded patio. There was some pleasant background music and just a fun, positive atmosphere.

We went to just relax and take our time, and thank goodness. It took forever to get out drinks from bar, no fault of waitress. The food took a good bit of time as well, but it was pretty good. We sat on the outside patio area. Very nice. Had reggae music playing, breeze coming in off gulf, very enjoyable.

We went to this place twice. The Caesar salad, crab bisque and key lime and bread pudding were great. They also had great drinks. My favorite was Berried Treasure.

This restaurant is unpretentious and casual, with a nice bar and dinner menu. On the night we visited with a table for 8, the special was grilled mahi with a pineapple mango salsa, which was well received if perhaps undercooked because of its thickness. I ordered a salad with gorgonzola cheese, almonds, and apple slices, to which I added perfectly seared ahi tuna. The star at our table, however, was the grouper oscar with plentiful lumps of fresh crab meat drizzled with a sour cream style sauce. As good as the entrees were, the desserts were even better. The key lime pie was nice, but the bread pudding, made with real bread cubes, was at least three inches tall with a nice sauce and homemade whipped cream. All in all a nice meal,

Twice this week, we found our way to DI's best place to eat after a day at the beach. The Shrimp & Grits are great. So was atmosphere and wait staff. It is where resort wear and flip flops meet.
