Visited the resort couple of weeks ago. Nice, pleasant and quiet place. Mostly used by local city - Kolkata people to escape from the daily hustle and bustle of the busy city life.

I stayed for one night. Overall the experience was good.

Tea shop in the lobby was refreshing while waiting. Bhoomi restaurant for the local Bengali flavour , and another multi-cuisine restaurant to cater to other taste buds. New Bowling ally in the property was cool and reasonably priced. However room charges seem on a bit higher side.

Vedic Village is quite frequently visited by me with friends and family for weekends or to attend marriages. Over the period of time I have seen the service getting bad to worse at the resort making it very frustrating for guests as the waiting period even for a cup of coffee is never ending. They take bare minimum 1 hour to deliver a order to your when ordered at the restaurant and another half an hour just to settle your bill as they say that their cashier is somewhere far from the Restaurant. Th funniest and the most wired part is they do not have a 24 Hrs coffee shop in such a huge resort. God help if you are visiting with children to this place as they don't allow you into the restaurant after 15.30 hrs until 19.30 hrs and for obvious reasons one cannot sit in the bar with children now you will be forced to sit in a non-air conditioned balcony in the scrogging humid weather for your evening snacks and to top it all you shall be attended by the most unprofessional and rude sort of waiters and stewards. The over dining experience at this place is below a motel standard and I have no idea weather BEST WESTERN verified these facts before awarding it with a Premier title. There is no time consideration for your order, quality of food is most horrifying and they no policy of hearing about your complaints on the spot. Basically it is taken for granted by the staff as you have no other option but to dine out there and take whatever they have to offer and it goes without saying that the charges are at par with any 5 Star Category hotel in Calcutta but service and food quality is worse than any other . Let me tell you guys this is not the way you cheat people with such unpleasant staff and service quality. I suggest everyone visiting Vedic Village please arrange for your own food if you don't wanna get harassed. I feel that the beauty of the place is being destroyed due to negligence in the F&B sector.

Room Tip: Aqua Villas are good choice.

Vedic Village is a wonderful getaway from the maddening Kolkata city. I have stayed here couple of times with family for family weekends.

Vedic Village has different types of accommodation like the normal hotel rooms, suites, aqua home rooms (3/ 4 bed roomed homes with a rooftop terrace garden and a small private swimming pool.), Earth villas - giving the atmosphere of the village from outside but fully luxurious inside.

Spa here is very good. Swimming pool is huge.

Only problem - The approach road from from Kolkata is poor and the food choice is limited for a Five star resort.

Service quality is very good though to overcome the problems. Once you are at the Resort you forget that you are just 20 minutes away from a Metropolis.

Room Tip: A number of choices, depends upon individuals choice

We have been to this lovely place before, though this time we were part of a marriage group this time. We stayed in a Bungalow rented out by the Resort which was quite spacious. As we were there for just 1 night, we spent most of the time in the functions - but were impressed bu their handling of all the functions. The kids though found time to enjoy in the new Club room.

This place is a wonderful getaway from the bustling city lifestyle. The place is nice to enjoy a calm time, to get away from all worries, and enjoy the nature. Specially recommended for those involved in yoga and outdoor activities.Service staff was very helpful and the cuisine was very good with a lot of variety.

My cousin got married at this beautiful property. Our huge family stayed there for 2 entire days and had booked the entire resort. Lot of water bodies are present. A very nice swimming pool, which has an artificial waterfall as well.

However all rooms are not equally good. The suites are of a much higher quality than the rest of the rooms.

The food was good and the halls are all beautiful.

Lot of activities for kids and a perfect place to visit during winters.

Free wifi was present in the hotel, though not everywhere.

The only drawbacks are the horrible approach roads from Kolkata and the mobile network coverage is very poor.
