If you go there expecting mainland china or oh calcutta ambience, you don't get it. If you expect very well done interiors then also you'd be disappointed but if you are just a fish buff like me and millions of others, then this is the place to go. Please make a reservation or else you would have to wait long. The seating capacity is limited.
The menu is pretty well planned and covers a lot of common as well as not so common fish dishes from almost every world cusinie.
My partner and I had Seafood Lemon corriander soup and Tom Yum soup,Prawn in pepper, Prawn Narsi Goreng fried rice,Fish in Garlic sauce and Black forest souffle as dessert and the bill came to Rs 1100....something which I cannot think of in any of the other posh eateries in town. And despite the rising prices, their dishes are average prized between 175 -250 rupees approx with some rare ones touching the 500-600 slab. The fish was fresh, well cooked and the prawn sizes were pretty good.
It was a disappointment not to find the combo meals which are there on the menu but they said are only for corporate lunches...not very clear what they meant but the combo selections are pretty good and if they start the same, they will give most restaurants in the city a tough competition.

Fish fish is the ultimate restaurant to visit if you love sea food. Ranging from all kinds of fishes to prawns to lobsters to squids, Fish fish is all about being spoilt for choices when it comes to sea food!

The service is excellent. The person who helped us had a lot of patience in recommending good dishes. Food is also served pretty quickly and service is prompt.

The squids deserve special mention cos they were well done and really tasty.

However, they should revise their menu with a description of the dishes since they have lots of fusion food items which you should know about before you order.

Overall, a good restaurant for people who love fish!

I was in this restaurant with friends last night and had one of the best meals I have ever had in Kolkota. The cuisine is an eclectic mix of European, Thai, Indian and others. It serves only fish, except for the desserts and the non- alcoholic drinks since it is without a licence, a situation unlikely to alter. The food is cooked to order by a chef with imagination. Every dish that we tried had that zing that comes only from the most fresh ingredients and the fish was always dominant and the symphony of flavours always complemented this.
We started with their signature dish, "Fisherman's Basket" which was a delightful take on an Italian "fritto misto" with two portions of fried calamari, all served in wicker baskets.
Our six mains were all different, I had stuffed squid which had strong Thai flavours to balance the squid, my companion had a sizzling platter, beautifully presented and delightful to the palate, two had bekhti but in different forms, the other two had pomfret, steamed in a Thai sauce for one and tandoori for the other.
Then came the only average presentation, the desserts which were fair but significantly overpriced. The total bill came to about 600/- each which equates to about £7.50 GBP.

This, for me, represents outstandingly good value for money. I will be back. Hurry because I suspect the prices will rise soon.

Our visit followed an encouraging press report, and we were certainly not disappointed. With a menu of Only fish items from Indian, Chinese, Continental and Thai cuisine items the starters, main course and desserts were exceedingly impressive. Our choice of kalamari, Bhakti, pomfret and squid grills, poached, and fried and also sizzlers turned out very tasty. Prices were reasonable though the desserts were comparatively pricy.
Average cost per head was about INR 500 incl taxes.
We were told they had opened about 6 weeks earlier but did not have a license for drinks because of schools and religious houses in the area. A second outlet will follow shortly around the bypass which will have a bar license.
