We were out - shopping for a wedding in Triangular Park when hunger pangs hit us. Hard. Since we were back in Kolkata after ages, we couldnt quite remember which restaurents were in the vicinity...when we spied ta'aam right across the street. On an impulse, we walked and biy! we were glad we did.
The ambience was perfect, the barista at the entrance cheered and then, the menu made us sit up.
We settled for Chicken Til Kabab, Mutton Rezala and Tandoori Rotis....which were finger licking good! the chef sure knows his stuff. Loved the rezala because it didnt have the overpowering smell of ittar or dalda (yes, yes, we know this recipe calls for ghee...but...) and it was seasoned just right. The kabab is large enough for three people, and its coating of roasted seasame seeds made it an interesting dish. I wish, though, it had been served with dhania-pudina chutney.
Do stop by for a meal - its worth it.
