“Interesting, non touristy view of Kolkata”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

Rupak showed us a genuinely "real" side to the city and we learnt so much about the culture of Kolkata and India in general.
I would recomend to anyone visiting Kolkata- go see the "big" sites (eg Victoria memorial) by yourself as you don't need a guide- it's all there in your guide book. Then do a walking tour with Rupak who will explain and show you all of the smaller things that don't necessarily make the guidebook but are so much more representative of the city and culture.

“Learned more about India (never mind Kolkata) than I have in an entire month!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

The guides are very very friendly and the overall experience was fantastic! What a great way to see Kolkata! We experienced many things that we wouldn't travelling alone. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend the Crazy Wanderers Walking Tour (and the hostel was one of the best we stayed at in all ourtravels !)! We were also taken to a little cafe that has some of the best coffee in north India called Bon Apetit .

“Thanks Rupak!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

A big thanks to Rupak on making our stay and introduction to India so welcoming!!
I think I would of struggled in India if i hadn't came here first as he showed us an insight into real India, with his vast knowledge of his home country.

“Crazy Wanderers day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Staying at the crazy wanderers foundation was utterly unique. I really felt like part of a family rather than a guest. Rupak is a fantastic tour guide and knows so much about Kolkata. The places we visited really made me feel like I got to know what the city was about. The coffee house, book market, temples and cinema showed many different aspects of the culture and way of life in Kolkata. Rupak was unbelievably generous and caring during my stay and has many incredible stories to tell. If you are in Kolkata, you must visit.
