Hotel looks like Tall but Small Boutique, as it start from first floor without lift it become discomfort to us carrying the lagauge.
Location-wise in the heart of city, nearest Metro Station is Rabindra Sadan.
Staffs are good, co-operative, friendly in nature and guide with proper information.
Rooms been compact, but not congested, maintained very clean & neat. Mattresses are been soft & you get good sleep.
Tariff been reasonable with complementary breakfast which is good to have.
Bathroom is good & clean with 24 hrs. hot water.
All-in-one a good enjoyable comfortable stay.
Suggestion: They should put brighter light in the entry as we have to go first floor through stair which is narrow & steep & will be very difficult for senior citizens to do this exercise.
They should remove the curtain which sometime disturb while bathing also they can think of removing the small divider in bathing area & provide bath seat to sit along with bucket & mug.
In breakfast, butter they should give in packed cubes not open with good tray.

Room Tip: On first floor any one within 4 rooms.

This hotel is a rather small one. The very first thing one would notice is how dirty the locale is, but hey this is Calcutta so no big deal. Second, the hotel exterior bears the same dirty, dusty color again I'm not here to pick any bones with the city. The dust probably is due to the road construction taking place right outside the hotel. The entry into the hotel is via a stairwell which is narrow and very steep. The absence of an elevator means that this hotel is practically off limits for senior citizens. We arrived at almost midnight at the hotel on the 4th of Feb 2011. What was surprising and certainly very commendable was the fact that the night receptionist actually came all the way down to the taxi and actually carried our bags. I don't remember his name but nevertheless, "Thumbs up mate". In fact most of the staff, if not all, were very obliging and very polite. They actually seem happy to see you check in. So we checked in and were shown to our room which was a Standard Double Deluxe (SDD). The room was small but it was very neat and clean. No dust on table, no dust on the top of the LCD TV in short recently dusted. The AC was in very good condition. The bathroom was small but again very clean. Overall the price was a little on the higher side (Rs 3000) considering the size of the room. The upsides of staying in this hotel include its location (very near Park Street etc), the great staff (never ask for tips) and its clean cool rooms. On the downside we have the stairwell, the dirty street and the size of the rooms. Oh yes and the restaurant serves very good food and the staff at the restaurant are very obliging. They would even help you decide the dishes you want with your meal. My wife and I had a good time. I would recommend this hotel to friends but not to my foes (let them stay elsewhere).

We were there at Durga Puja time, a busy time, but the staff made us very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked, and the staff gave us tips on absolutely everything, right from travel tips to shopping tips. Rooms were comfortable, some rooms overlook the busy A C Bose Road which could be a hindrance for light sleepers. Overall a good experience - would stay here again. Check out their multi-cuisine restaurant as well. A bit expensive, but wonderful staff. If in Kolkata for the first time, this is a recommended hotel as it is in the center of everything.
