The shiny glass tower makes you think that this might be a fresh, clean new hotel like the genuinely excellent Kempton in the same street. It isn't. OK the reception area has a deal of style with its sunset poster and marble walls. But as soon as you get past that facade the reality hits - rooms are every bit as nasty as many of the backpacker dives but all the more unacceptable given the raised expectations of the entrance and the fact that single rooms start at 1320 rupees - for the same price you could stay at the far nicer Golden Apple. Even the suite which was asking around 2800 rupees was not something I'd have considered. All in all I'd say that this place is simply not worth considering under any circumstance (though in its favour the staff were friendly and seemed slightly embarrassed showing me round).
