This is a bum place to be and for the price it is a rip-off. I was first given a room facing the elevator and after I raised a stink, they shifted me to one which had a chicken coop for a toilet and bathroom. The water leaks from the bathroom will leak in to your room and you have to clean it yourself if you want to avoid slipping.
The room I stayed in faced the road and it did not have soundproof doors. Of course, the road in Salt Lake, Kolkata are not as noisy, so this was a relief.
Service is horrendous but this is not because of the staff who are quite friendly and helpful. It is simply that the hotel has little infrastructure.
However, it serves the best masala tea in the world. Try it.
