I have stayed at the Kenilworth Hotel for one month and not just once!. The location is perfect for most sightseeing, within 10/15 minutes easy walk from Victoria memorial. The staff is personable and absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious perfect and clean. Everything is of high quality, very comfy beds and pillows etc. The FREE hot coffee can be made in the room, ingredients provided in the room bar cabinet. I have never found a better place in Kolkata. The location is perfect for the famous Park street and all the theaters. The food is amazing. Every time I am in the Kolkata I stay in Kenilworth hotel and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Kolkata city.

I have always quoted the in room dining menu of Kenilworth for its wide selection. The food is amazing esp the grilled fish.
The rooms are clean. Some of them have had a makeover lately to more contemporary decor (i liked the older version though). The staff is polite and helpful.

Room Tip: The new wing is more contemporary. The heritage wing may appeal to some.

I enjoy this hotel for the facilities there, location, familiarity and convenience. There are about four or five restaurants, each of which is a specialty restaurant. Name any liquor you have it there. If you have a certain item made in a particular way, the chef listens to you, understands your taste then you have to wait for sometime.
Hot tasty item is served and you are so much satisfied.
The complimentary breakfast is also special in Kenilworth, Kolkata. I like it because dosa and masala dosa to my taste is served in a far off place like Kolkata.
Rooms are so good,

This is the second time I have stayed at the New Kenilworth, although I did not review it the first time around. Overall I think this is a good hotel. The rooms are more than adequate, and the 'Business Class' rooms are really quite good. It is definitely 4-star. The restaurant serves an excellent buffet lunch and dinner and for breakfast don't miss the fabulous Masala Dosai which are made on demand at no extra cost! The Bar is also a cool place to go for a drink at the end of the day. There's also a spa and fitness centre, but I did not use these facilities. I have two complaints. First, they charge you for internet. Admittedly it's only $4 for half an hour but in this day and age it should be free. The other irritation (both times) was the front office staff. For those who have travelled a lot in India they will know what I mean when I say they act a bit like Government Hotel staff. They just don't seem to have any sense of urgency and the biggest hassle for us was checking in and checking out. Apart from that, it's a good choice, quiet and well located near shops and restaurants.

I've stayed at the Kenilworth many times during work trips to Kolkata and never been disappointed. Its an old property, so don't walk in expecting the works. However it is clean, well maintained and an affordable option in a central part of the city.

In peak traffic it will take almost an hour to get from from the airport to the hotel. However there's lots to do from here - Park Street is just 5-10 mins away by cab. And other attractions are not very far either.

The rooms and bathrooms are smallish but clean. The buffet breakfast is a good spread - lots of Indian breakfast options available too! The restaurant is ok, but you're probably better off eating at restaurants outside, since Kolkata has no dearth of eating options.

Dear Guest,

Greetings from Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata!
Thank you for your regular patronage at our hotel and for sharing your experience on this public review forum.

We are glad to know that we have been able to meet your expectations during each of your stay experiences with us.

Kenilworth, Kolkata is a hotel dating back to the days of Brisitsh-Raj. We try to encapsulate the grandeur of that period and as such many of the hotel’s design elements still have an unmistakable colonial touch to them!

Once again, thank you for your kind comments. We look forward to further extending our services to you during your future visits to the city.
