“All hype no substance”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Very poor service, insufficient chairs and worst of all very dirty unkempt premises. The food when it arrives is just about okay....good value for money and nothing much else. The waiters are slow to take orders and even worse in delivering them,We waited a good 45 minutes for two sandwiches.

“read & heared so much about this”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

One of the nostalgic identities of Kolkata. I went twice but couldn’t find anything great with this. May be due to I don’t have any nostalgic memory associate with it. As restaurant it is average one.

“Nostalgia”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

It is one of the most nostalgic cafe in Kolkata.
Consider nothing else but just enjoy being there.
Nice plae to chitchat with old friends sipping coffee ...and you can spend hours ...no one asks you to leave.

Its a heritage place...and a must visit.

“Good place to have a chat”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

It is good place where college and university studnts can sit and chat for hours. Though it falls under a glam and cultural spot of Kol, the food is not of good quality and inexpensive too. The place is mostly visited by students of adjacent college n university.

“The Same Old Look Maintained Year After Year,,,,,”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Sir Newton's laws of motion could never bring any change or effect to these restaurants all over India, from ambiance to attitude remain the same (especially in Jadavpur outlet ) since I started visiting that place. The only attraction to visit the joint is its cheap and one can spend hours with only a cup of coffee. The best experience I had in Trivandram (Kerala) coffee house right in front of the railway station ,
