Hotel Trimoorti is a bit out-of-the way, but by kolkata standards was quite a good stay.
Its a budget hotel that has had a bit of a cosmetic spruce-up - spot lights and lcd TVs
Rooms are clean enough, the staff are very nice, the food is't great (most of it bought in from neighbouring cafe's it seems). The narrow street that the hotel is in does get quite noisy at night - this is usual for Indian cities.

Room Tip: Its worth going for the bigger rooms

We had a pleasant stay here, the room was clean and airconditioning worked well. The staff were very hospitiable and helpful. The manager is very service oriented and went out of his way to help us with getting sim cards for our phones. We ordered room service a couple of times and the food is very good and reasonably priced.

We had a one evening stay in Kolkata before we flew to Paro Bhutan. We stayed at hotel Trimoorti which is on the outskirts of Park Street.
Its a 15 min cab ride away from the heart of Park street, pretty hard to find. Its located near a shopping mall called the Forum. Rooms are decent and bathrooms clean. THere is a mosque nearby which can make it a little bit noisy at night although we could sleep through it with the windows shut. AC is powerful.

All in all a decent stay for the price.

Truly worth it one cannot expect such good service and well behaved staffing from a hotel which is extremely easy for ones pocket.Best part of this hotel is the location it is situated right in the centre an extremely short walk is required to reach the main road but that can be treated as excercise. I would not bother putting my review but i had to mention the managing director is extremely helpful my husband and myself had gone out at night and got stuck in a club as we did not manage to get a cab back out of desperation we called up this person and he came and picked us up from the location and dropped us back to the hotel. It was an extremely kind gesture and the most helpful oneand we are still extremely grateful to him.
I do recommend this hotel to everyone u will truly enjoy ur stay here.

The first service disaster started before we arrived: we had booked the hotel via internet with payment in advance, but we changed plans and intended to arrive a day earlier. I phoned the hotel to ask if it was possible to change the date our three day stay (i.e. arrive and depart a day earlier), but I was told no, they had vacancy but we would have to pay for four nights. I was not willing to do that so we stayed in another hotel the first night. When we finally arrived, we found out, we had payed for super delux but this was the lowest category they had, so if we had booked the cheaper room it would have been the same. In fact there was a better room but of course that would have cost extra. The room had no real window and was very dirty, not even the linen had been changed. If you ever can, avoid this place!

It looks like a worn down warehouse from the early 90’s on the outside. On the inside you would find trendily decorated clean, comfortable and spacious (if you book one of the bigger ones) rooms. The staff goes out of their way to help you out (I had to make an urgent call to my mother at home and our room phone wasn’t working, the guy in the reception handed over his mobile phone so I could make the call!). In terms of amenities such as restaurants, laundry service, etc. the hotel provides each of these services from external vendors. Each room has a set of menus (of near by restaurants) that has a wide range of delicious local foods to choose from-just call the reception and let them know your order. The food gets delivered by one of the hotel personnel straight to your room (Don’t miss the rasgullas and the mishit doi). And whatever you do, DONNOT MISS THEIR MORNING BREAKFAST PLATTER!! Absolutely delectable cheese omelet’s and deliciously crunchy cheese toasts-I swear guys, I still wake up in the middle of the night craving a bite of those!!!

You won’t find any extra frills in this hotel, it’s really a budget hotel that’s perfect for a group of friends or a young couple looking to enjoy a few days in Kolkata on a limited budget. It’s also very conveniently located-only a 5 minute walk from Forum Mall-great to shop till you drop and enjoy a movie in their INox multiplex! There is a small shop right beneath the hotel that sells mobile SIM cards (very cheap! You will need to give them a photocopy of your passport and 2 passport size photographs.), tour packages and train tickets to various parts of the city, rent-a-cars, etc. Had a great experience at this small but friendly place. Will absolutely visit again!
