I stayed here for five nights in March 2013 while travelling with a friend, and we paid 400 rupees for a large twin room. The manager was very friendly and helped with all questions I had about the area, as well as letting me store my luggage free for a week while off trekking. The twin rooms are spacious, and have great views out over the valley. Additionally the wifi worked very well in the rooms which was rare among guest houses I stayed at in India. The only disadvantages were that there are currently no showers (he said they are planned in the future, and piping hot water buckets are available) and it is quite a long walk up the hill to the guesthouse from central Darjeeling. However, based on other backpacker properties I checked out, I feel it is a great value for money option.
