“red panda”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

a small but very well kept zoo. animals are in large enclosures and are healthy. u get to see a black leopard (i guess quite rare), some tibetan wolves and of course red panda among other animals. got to see a collection of noisy macaws.

good zoo. clean, well maintained. nice. may be a few more spots to sit and enjoy would have been better.

“A most depressing place”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2014

Having to look how animals are being kept in this "park" is really most depressing. Cages are much to small for wild cats that usually stroll around dozens of kms per day and here they are facing their miserable fate, being exposed to zoo visitors whose empathy is very limited, well, sometimes rather the opposite, when they are being teased by spoilt kids.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

Dear Sir
We are sorry that you found the park a depressing place, even its green clean ambience could not lift your spirit.
Shall be interested in knowing a Zoo/Park where enclosures are kilometeres long--anywhere in world. In that case our complain shall be that animals are not visible.
In India, and in Darjeeling-- we keep animals in enclosures which are specified by experts in field -keeping in veiw " all consideration".And unlike many zoos outside India , we do not capture /buy animals from wild.
Regards
