Glenary's have the best cakes, bread and pastries in town! They also have a nice breakfast/lunch/snacks menu that you can enjoy whilst looking out over West Bengal. The choices are limited, but if you are looking for a break from Curry then this is the place.

Its a well mantained Bakery in the heart of darjeeing. Everything here is fresh and well presented. You wouldnt miss it if you are passing by as it is well lit and you can smell the fragrence of Baked items wafting through the air, It has a Pub, A cyber Cafe, A lounge. Everything you need from basic BREAD to RUM chocolate can be found here.
Dont miss this fine place as this is a temple of good Confectionaries.

The food is really nice. However, they can work on the variety in the menu.

The icing in the cake were chocolates. Especially the chocolate coins and the awesome rum filled chocolates!!!!

The service was sub par in the restaurant side. The food was not at all something to write anything positive about. We tried it twice for dinner on Lonely Planet's recommendation, we were totally let down. The only upside was that they serve beer.

Some more details : the naan bread was a pita warmed up and stuffed with garlic. The tandoori chicken was poorly seasoned. The server forgot to order a dish from the kitchen for us and then proceeded to argue with me saying we never ordered it. Note that this is after he corrected me because I pronounced it wrong.

The bakery on the main floor is nice for a small snack but is limited in what they serve.
