“great tibetan food”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

really liked the tibetan food and it was very cheap
a lot of fun to try some tibetan soups and new stuff
only the service was a bit slow
possibly because they couldn't speak that much english
but altogether it was worth the wait and hassle

“Wholesome food - reasonable rates - open till late”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

The ambience in this restaurant was OK, It has only 5 tables.
The menu is good and friendly enough for vegetarians (like myself). You get good tibetian and chinese food here.

If you are here for breakfast, do try Tsampa ( a kind of porridge with cheese and butter which they serve with a glass of milk), it is scrumptious and gives you a good start for the day.

Momos were good (you get better one's at Kunga, which is next door), they serve it here along with soup (which kunga doesn't).

Chowmein and Thenthug (a kind of macaroni based tibetian dish) were superb and very filling.

Do not leave without having Hot Chocolate, it is simply fantastic.

This restaurant saved us from starving on our 1st day at darjeeling. Being from mumbai, we are used to eating post 8pm, surprisingly 99% of everything closes down at darjeeling. Dekevas and Opium are the only 2 places open till late night.

The service needs improvement.

“Tiny tasty plc but big price”
Reviewed May 31, 2012 via mobile

Walking down from mall we found this little place near the taxi stand where the road is blocked for vehicles.

Things were pricy but we liked the thukpas and momos very much and had our dinner here three times.

Due to the high price the place gets mostly tourists who dont mind spending during holidays. And when ever we were there many people were seen getting packed orders.

So had to wait for long sometimes. Like most places in Darjeeling you better come down to eat by 8pm, specially in off seasons.

You won't miss the place as its just below Dakeling hotel.

Budget for two : Rs 500
