It is a nice budget hotel, close to the centre of Darjeeling. Mr. Amit Khatri is a very nice and affable person. We booked a deluxe family room for four days and felt quite satisfied with the service. They have clean rooms, hot running water, quick room service and cordial staff.

Room Tip: You can mail Mr. Amit Khatri before the trip and discuss the trip arrangements, as he is local and...

It was a pleasent experience to stay with them.
Decent homely food.
Clean polished hotel and the price charged was pretty affordable.
We got a nice budget room for Rs1400 and were happy with the services.

We were group of 14 people along with 2 senior ladies our hotel booking was
arranged by Sai Group of Hotels. On reaching the hotel after a hectic drive from Pelling
due to bad roads were received in a unfreindly atomsphere by the Manager, he was not at all co-operative instead of giving us 5 rooms he gave us 3 rooms and a suite, when we requested we needed 5 rooms and one room should be on the ground or first floor for the senior ladies
he was behaving as though the booking was not done well in advance, in fact the booking
was done prior to six months. after we spoke to Sai Group-Mr. Chakraborty assured
us that we will get the xtra rooms on the next day which was given. The rooms are
very small and smelly congested with no place left to keep luggage, Dirty bedsheets and pillows. Hotel porters are not allowed to pick up luggage due to some union.pay extra and get the luggage to the hotel rooms. Food available in the hotel is not upto mark.
Though the owner of the Hotel Mr. Amit Khatri is good to talk but I think he should
keep a friendly MANAGER who knows how to talk to the customers.

Very bad staff with no sense.
we had the MAP plan and for 3 days they served the same thing in breakfast and dinner.
worst, in cold they have a specific time for operating geyser. on first day we have to go without bath!!!!!!!!!! i will definitely not recommend it to any other tourist. Beware of the tour operators who will sell it like anything............also they just gave 1 towel for 2 of us and did not changed it for 3 days and nor the rooms were cleaned even once.........VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

I'm very happy with my stay here...
» Boiled water for infant
» very quick room service by BIGEN
» food quality quantity and taste all very good
» the owner ant all staff are very co operative and calm
» rooms are nice and give you cozy and romantic feel with quiet dim light but it's not good if you have kid below 3-4 yrs..(kids don't like dim light)
» they provide hot and cold drinking water
» do carry heavy woollens don't trust on accuweather..
Happy stay. :-)

The positive side:
1.The hotel is in central location close to the market.
2. The owner really nice and professional .
3. The room is spacious with nice wooden decor
The negative:
1. The staff is not professional. Despite the fact they have really steep staircases nobody helped me and my wife with the bags so I had to go up and down few times while they just stood by and watched. On our last day the receptionist caught us in the lobby and asked if we check out after we gave positive answer he said you should pay for the food you ordered. After we said that we haven't used the room service he kept arguing with us instead checking the bills. When we came to check out he merely apologised.
2. The room had mildew smell which got stronger in the evening.

Not a pleasant experience. Rooms unclean. Furniture very old, TV also very old. Initially was given one suite room that was good.. but made to switch after a day. It appears the Hotel had not kept provision for the booked rooms and allotted on ad-hoc basis.
