this is a nice place to stay but just for a day all the rooms are full here usaually but you can hear people talking in the next room through the walls. the service is a little slow.one should stay here only for a day and start looking for a different room if you wanna stay here for longer time.

The Footprint is home away from home for me. I am in India, Chennai ,to study once a year, and am thrilled to have found this haven. Nestled in a leafy street in a lovely suburb in Chennai close to so many amenities from Supermarket to restuarants to coffee houses and of course shops.
The accomodation itself consists of self contained apartments in an Indian apartment building. The rooms are spacious with individual bathrooms , toilet ,air conditioners, ceiling fans, free wi fi and more Rucha the owner has a great eye for detail and her small welcoming touches are most comforting (pamphlets with shopping, restuarants and attraction sights)
The wonderfull staff Radha and Latish welcome your day with a big smile and a Western and full home made, Indian breakfat. Most delicous.
Nothing is too much trouble for the owner and staff at Footprint.
I look forward to my return stay in February and give this haven a 10.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Chennai twice in the last 3 years for a three week plus stay and one of the memorable parts of my stay is Footprint Bed and Breakfast. I have done considerable overseas travel and my stay at Footprint has made Chennai near and dear to my heart. The accommodations are excellent along with serene and peaceful!! The owners are lovely and most accommodating and have a lovely dependable responsive staff. I have traveled alone quite a bit but never alone to India, saying this I would now return to India alone only if staying at Footprint as it would provide me with the comfort and safety one looks for when traveling! I can not recommend it enough and I must include that the owner is a wonderful chef so you have the extra bonus of wonderful South Indian cuisine! I must also add that it is a great location with lovely shops within walking distance.

I stayed 3 weeks in this lovely bed and breakfast.
Quite and frendly atmospher, nice and helpfull staff, friendly guest as well.
I visited several other places before to make my choice and the Foorprint is defintly the best.
Good restaurant at a walking distance (Anokhi, Banjarong..).
Very good alternative to the 5 stars international hotels.

Footprints is perfectly situated; the apartments are nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood. All guest rooms put you at ease the moment your step in. Natural hues are as refreshing as they are comforting. Clean and clever interior touches that crop up throughout the property consistently serve to pull the place together.

Reassuring beds and couches, fresh flowers and framed black and whites of colonial Chennai. It’s intriguing to see Madras as it was then and Chennai as it is now. Adds another layer of discovery to the rich journey of India!

The team at Footprints are very attentive and supportive. Giving their attention to any request. The eco footprint here is visible everywhere from the handmade paper wall hangings to the organic soap and shampoo. The breakfast of fresh fruits and homemade sambar/dosa is an utterly delicious start to the day.

The reference library reflects the hosts interest in Tamil Nadu's cultural heritage. I could have spent another week scouring their shelves. The neighborhood, dining and shopping information generously provided by Footprints was spot on!

Would not have been introduced to the Chocolate Labroratory without these insights shared by the perfect hosts. Rucha and Ashish you’ve made a wonderful home away from home in Chennai. Thank you for sharing it!
