I cant help beginning this review about the excellent food they served at the Royal Regency!Tired as we were after the journey, the hotel provided an ideal place for privacy and relaxation. The room service was good too. They also have a help desk for tourists which we found helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were well kept and clean.

It is situated at walking distance from Central Railway Station(on Poonamallee High Road). Best part is it has got 24 hrs. check out time. The hotel also serves complimentary buffet breakfast. The hotel has got some loop holes also like maximum T.V. channels are regional(Tamil) and the area and locality of the hotel is not good. The room services are quite good.
Overall its a good bet to stay.

We stayed here 2 restless nights. When we arrived, the man at reception would only address my husband, not me and told us the credit card machine was “broken.” He wanted us to pay then, rather than when we checked out. Since we had just arrived, we didn’t have enough rupees. So he made us pay with American dollars at a poor exchange rate. Had it not been our first night in India, we would have known not to let him get by with that. The room was incredibly noisy from the street traffic. We had to sleep with ear plugs, and even then it wasn’t easy. There were mosquitoes in the room, the TV reception was poor, and the shower curtain was about 2 feet too short, causing the entire bathroom to get soaked when showering. The breakfast was a mediocre buffet. Compared to other Indian hotels we stayed at, the Royal Regency was not worth the price. I do not recommend this hotel.
