Am a regular consumer of ITC hotels at several locations across India and would not consider this in par with ITC maratha at Mumbai / ITC Maurya Sheraton Delhi , as it is a new hotel sure would reach in par in the future. The food spread and quantity / variety is great , but quality wise it can still improve but for few dishes which were classy. The dessert mix can be better . Also the resources in hotel were not familiar with SPG points redemption for food, they had over phone told me that i can use the points for billing and later had surprise that the hotel is not online and had to pay the amount using the credit card. Even though the manager provided clarity , it must have been done over phone not when you reach in person. Also westin hotel just opened two weeks would use my points for redemption for breakfast was surpised why it was taking some much time for getting this request done for SPG gold/platinum members. Overall the experience was good , but hope fully on my next visit would see these small finer improvements which can make this place one of the best in chennai

one of the first things which struck me was the size of restaurant - everything about it was grand - be it the soup bowls, the plates, the sofas, chairs etc..
Lot of smiling and helpful support staff ; kept checking in on us asking us how the food and the experience was..
Starters were kinda ok - would have preferred boneless pieces of the Madras chicken fry. the veggie starter was good. could have had a wider range of starters is what i felt..
The main course was good - though i felt that there could have been some helping with the Mutton dum biriyani.. all the spices were at the bottom of the vessel and would have been nice to have someone mix them up well ...
Didnt like that the antipasti was all Pork or Beef - could have had some variety in there too. Spoke to one of the support staff who told me that i could try out the Grilled chicken instead.. nice suggestion :-)
The dessert menu was good too - though all of them were very creamy :-D loved them though..
One thing i realized was that there were a lot more options available in terms of food available then was in display - just reach out to one of the staff and they would be glad to help

Since it was my wife's birthday, i asked if they could organize for a pastry. Man o Man. was i surprised or what.. One of the finest pieces of pastry i have ever tasted!!! U guys rock at that.

Overall, it was a mixed experience but would still give it a 4 rating..

As expected , a well spread out ( ITC standard ), buffet for lunch. Non veg starters served on table were excellent. Soup bowls too big, too odd shaped for the purpose. The ambience was a dampener, too crammed sitting and oddly placed tables . Dimly lit too. Quite a contrast to the external grandeur of the building. Don't miss out on the south Indian coffee served at the table , superb taste and fascinating acrobatics of the liveried server. Overall, nothing particularly impressive about this ITC 's latest restaurant in Chennai..
