One of the Oldest existing Shiva temple. If u r religiously inclined, dont miss it while in chennai. The temple and the pond in front of it located in Mylapore is the cultural nerve center of Traditional chennai.

I've been lucky to visit this temple many times (thanks to my mom) and I always experience some special vibes here. You must visit here to experience the divinity of Lord Kapaleeswara and his team. Finally I could see the renovated temple tank filled with water. Undoubtedly this is one of the best temple in the city.

It's a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The entrance tower is mesmerizing. Inside the complex there are various deities. The main deity at the center of the temple complex is bit crowded.

Visit here as early as 5 to 5.30 AM. You will get darshan of cow Pooja. It would be so wonderful to have early morning darshan and the first set of poojas peacefully. DO visit here
