“Good infrastructure-requires maintenance”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

The displays and the scientific concepts have been explained beautifully, but some of the apparatus is in disrepair and there is a general air of neglect. If well maintained, it can be a significant centre for building science among the student community

“Waste of Time”
Reviewed May 31, 2012

We visited this place with two school going kids in Jul 2010.
Our expectations of this place was extremely low - but I was thoroughly surprised/disappointed as to how bad a government run facility can be.

The place is completely rundown and dilapidated. Water damage in many places. AC cooler is non functional.

This place has completely outdated and senseless exhibits and is mostly worthless to visit.
On one side there is tons of bottled up foetus of animals and on the other a model of a nuclear plant etc., Exhibits don't work, the whole place is just dusty and never been cleaned.

Exhibits are not engaging or hands on to help any learning.
Yes the planetarium was functional and was worth it.

In a class A metro like Chennai - the people should be entitled to much better facilities than this crap for like this and named "Science and Technology centres'.

The place is huge but there was not a single soul - apart from the 4 of us. no wonder.!
One star for this is too much. Pathetic.
